FLIGHTS GROUNDED, HOMES EVACUATED, TURKEY WILDFIRE EMERGENCY
Wildfires Rage Across İzmir and Aude, France.
A terrifying wildfire emergency has erupted across parts of Turkey and France, forcing evacuations, grounding flights, and turning skies an eerie orange as fire crews battle towering flames on land and from the air.
Yesterday, in the Izmir region of Turkey, a well-known tourist hotspot, a massive wildfire broke out near the Menderes and Seferihisar districts, quickly spreading with the help of strong winds and dry conditions. Adnan Menderes Airport was forced to suspend flights as the inferno inched dangerously close.

The emergency response has been monumental:
625 emergency responders
6 helicopters
2 firefighting planes
46 fire engines
13 water supply trucks
9 bulldozers
…all working around the clock for over 22 hours to control the blaze.
